We regularly do in-situ balancing of machine components. This reduces down time and saves most of the extra work required to strip and send the part away to a balancing shop. On occasion shop balanced rotors still require an in-situ trim balance, due to accumulated assembly unbalance or minor mounting resonance. Machines that are balanced properly run longer, quieter, create less vibration and use less power.

Noise generated from inbalance is often overlooked and can be disturbing.
e.g.through wall noise into office space making it a stressful environment, or noise channeled via A/C ducting in a theatre totally spoiling the critical moments when silence is paramount.
